Dennis Food Service has an opening available for a full-time Shuttle Driver leaving from our Portland, ME yard. The Shuttle Driver is primarily responsible for transporting loaded and empty trailers between the main warehouse and the shuttle drop off point. This individual must be self-motivated and self managed. Shuttle Drivers are required to perform their duties in a timely manner with little or no supervision and are required to comply with all company rules and DOT laws and regulations.

This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus paid out in two installments ($2,500 after a successful 90 days and $2,500 after the successful completion of one year of service).

Qualified Drivers Must Have the Following:

• Current and valid CDL A Driver’s License with Doubles Endorsement
• Minimum one year of driving experience (preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Willing to be a strong member of the team
• Have solid written and oral skills
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check
• Must be able to lift product up to 100 lbs. and lift 10 – 80 lbs. frequently

Daily Duties Include:

• Report to work on or before scheduled time
• Report any accidents and/ or damage to Company equipment or Customer product
• Understand and keep an accurate Logbook as required by Federal DOT Regulations
• Travel all routes as scheduled
• Communicate daily with the Transportation Manager
• Act as the last line of defense to ensure that products delivered to our customers are consistent with the policies and procedures as set forth in our Food Safety Plan.

Schedule:

• Sunday thru Thursday
• Annual work provided
