Sylvan, Inc. is a market-leading, trusted automotive service contractor to Fortune 500 companies.

The P6 Scheduler – will be responsible for scheduling and sequencing the project. He/she will work closely with the project manager the ensure timely deliveries to our customer.

Job Responsibilities

The list below is meant to be a guide and not all inclusive of the daily responsibilities.

• Update and maintain project schedules in P6.
• This individual is expected to have a strong understanding of P6 scheduling software.
• Identifies major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead procurement items.
• Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with owners and/or teams.
• Assists with development of the construction three-week look-ahead schedule(s) with manpower loading, incorporating construction strategy input.
• Develops and maintains spreadsheets for various phases of construction projects.
• Communicates schedule status to management regularly.
• Interact with engineering discipline leads & construction managers to understand issues and conflicts impacting schedule.
• Suggests corrective actions and/or develops recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.
• Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences.

Qualifications and Competencies

• 5+ years of scheduling experience on industrial construction and maintenance projects. Specifically in the electrical field.
• Experience in industrial construction and/or Turnarounds/Outages.
• Strong understanding of Critical Path Method concepts
• Proficiency in Primavera (P6)
• Earned Value Management
• Demonstrate ability to communicate verbally effectively and professionally and in writing ensuring tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to multitask, work under pressure to meet deadline
