The PAC Manager will be responsible for the planning and operation of the IHG Political Action Committee (IHG PAC) and support IHG in achieving its public policy objectives. Additionally, the PAC Manager will support the Government Affairs team’s execution of advocacy objectives and ad hoc policy issues in the Americas region.

This role is based in Washington, DC and reports to the Director, Government Affairs.

The main aspects of this role include, but are not limited to:

Leadership and oversight of IHG’s PAC including:

  • The day-to-day management and administration of the company’s PAC
  • Building awareness and understanding of the IHG PAC with eligible employees to foster a culture of political engagement
  • Developing content for all PAC communications, including educational and solicitation materials, annual and semi-annual reports, newsletters, and the PAC website
  • Successfully executing PAC events
  • Managing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with IHG PAC contributors and campaign fundraisers
  • Supporting the Government Affairs team in executing the company’s advocacy objectives and ad hoc policy issues as they arise in the Americas region.

Education -

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in public policy, communications or business

Experience -

  • 4-7 years of experience with a blend of communication, event planning, political action committee, political fundraising, or campaign management experience

Technical Skill & Knowledge -

  • Team player who is a self-starter, passionate about his/her work and innovative in solving problems, overcoming challenges, and achieving goals
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Understanding of political and legislative processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of the Federal Election Commission regulations, political campaigns, and rules governing the process
  • Strong bi-partisan relationships with DC based PAC fundraisers preferred
