Job Title: Packaging & Material Handler

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Logistics Coordinator, the Packaging & Material Handler will be responsible for the packaging all final products shipping from Trystar.

In this role you will get to:

• 
  Understand the job orders and interact with Epicor.
• Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
• Maintain and operate hand tools and power tools.
• Perform required quality control checks and inspections to assure the product being manufactured is meeting required specifications.
• Learn product that ships in and out of Trystar

• Packaging material for all different product and understand pallet sizes, box sizes, crate or no crate
• Able to read and understand Sales Orders
• Clean and Organize shipping area
• Need to be able to operate the Pallet Wrapper and Scale
• Need to be licensed to operate Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect parts produced
• Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must
• Strong communications skills
• Ability to multitask and set priorities.
• Outstanding attention to detail, organizational and coordination abilities

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.

• Have basic computer skills and accurate data entry experience for receiving and issuing products.
• Perform simple mathematics to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc. and to keep accurate account of materials used during manufacturing process including scrap amounts.
• Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
• Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing protection
