PACU - RN - PRN

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implement and document nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse. Prefer Bachelors's degree in Nursing. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.

• You will be assisting the physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Performing various patient tests, and administering medications within the scope of practice of the Registered Nurse.
• Also, you will be promoting patients' independence by establishing patient care goals, and teaching patients and their families, to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• You will report to a manager or head of the unit/department.

Which Qualifications Do You Need? In order to set you up for success, you need the basics of…

• Requires an Associate's Degree.
• You must be certified as a Registered Nurse, here in Florida.
• A current BLS is required.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field, is also required.
• Flexibility with scheduling, including coverage of off-hour shifts, department opening, and closing, and adding on cases on short notice will be needed for this position.
• Scrub experience preferred.
• A willingness to take weekday and weekend call shifts and be within 30 minutes of LKMC.
• Circulatory/Scrub experience is preferred.
