Well respected Insurance Defense Firm located in Boca Raton, Florida with a reputation for being committed to client success is currently seeking a Paralegal with both plaintiff and defense experience in the area of personal injury. This Martindale-Hubbell AV Rated firm offers comprehensive insurance defense, insurance litigation, and insurance bad faith representation. This is a full-time hybrid position, however, must live in the Boca Raton area as the schedule will require working 2/3 days a week in office and in addition whenever needed.

Ideal candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. The position requires strong interpersonal, administrative and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and e-filing/e-service; and experience assisting attorneys with records subpoena, drafting pleadings, discovery, preparation for and scheduling of depositions, hearings, and trial. Knowledge of Clio or a comparable case management software is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Must have 3+ years of paralegal experience in the area of persona injury litigation on both the plaintiff and defense side.
• Must live in the Boca Raton, Florida area and have the ability to come into the office 2-3 days er week and in addition whenever needed.
• Must be proficient in the coordination of hearings, mediations and depositions; preparation and filing of basic court documents such as notices of hearing & subpoenas for depositions.
• Must be proficient in Tri-County area Judge’s procedures for scheduling of hearings and trials
• Must be proficient in procedures for submission of proposed orders to Judges

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining attorney calendars, coordinating court events, mediations and depositions with opposing counsel corporate representatives and clients
• preparing and filing of Notices of Hearing, Notices of Cancellation, Subpoenas for deposition and other form documents
• coordinating deposition/mediation prep conference with the file attorney and the client
• communicating with process servers to ensure service of subpoenas
• communicating with Court Reporters to ensure coverage at depositions and other court events.
