Pacific West Ambulance is the contracted provider for 911 Ambulance Service to
Lincoln County, OR for 35 years.
Pacific West Ambulance located on the beautiful Central Oregon Coast has immediate openings for Full time or Part Time Paramedics. We provide excellent opportunities for experienced or new providers. Our Ambulance Department responds to approximately 750 emergency calls monthly in the 911 system of Lincoln County as well as providing some non-emergent and emergent inter-facility transports from our two local hospitals to higher levels of care and in some cases utilizing IV pumps and monitoring ventilators.
Our Paramedics take a teamwork approach and have developed a patient centered approach with our co responders. Many times being the only Paramedic on scene.

We pay based on experience as a Paramedic (up to $81,000/yr base and does not include additional or overtime shifts) + 3% annual increases. Option for a $10,000 sign on bonus with 2 year commitment.
We pay first 8 hours of shift as Regular Time and remaining time of shift as
Overtime. Typical starting pay for 12 hour shift pays $24.13 to $30.55/hr. depending on your EMS experience. ($51,000-$81,000/yr)
Additional Bonus ($100 per shift) for working extra shifts.
Pacific West Paramedics and EMTs work 12 hour shifts (4 on - 4 off) out of multiple posting locations throughout Lincoln County, including: Lincoln City, Depoe Bay,
Newport, Waldport, and Toledo. Most posting locations are equipped with a full kitchen, private sleeping quarters, and crew areas with couches, recliners, and TVs.
Housing is a challenge in our area so we allow our employees to reside outside of the county. Areas to look at are Lincoln City, Newport, Willamina, McMinville, Dallas, Salem, Corvallis, Toledo, Siletz, and Corvallis if you are relocating.
Qualified applicants should be motivated individuals with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. Minimum qualifications:
- Oregon Paramedic License or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 30 days of hire if from out of state.
- Oregon Driver License or obtain within 90 days of hire. Must be 21 years of age or older (Insurance requirement)
- BLS for Healthcare Provider
- Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19
- Ability to pass a background, drug screen (including THC), and driving record check
- Desire to learn more about Emergency Medical Services
- Paramedics are required to possess current ACLS, Pediatric (PALS or PEPP or EPC) and PHTLS.
