Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY: The Paramedic works in collaboration with the Emergency Department team; responsible for routine patient care under the supervision of an RN.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Accurately documents the administration of care in the patient record in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for providing patient care under the direct supervision of the physician and/or RN/Charge RN in accordance with physicians' orders, and established policy and procedure. Facilitates patient transfer to floors, and patient flow.
• Identifies and proactively communicates any changes in patient condition, results, behavior, observations, or complaints and reports to RN/Charge RN/LPN.
• Contributes to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate of approved Paramedic program.
• One year previous experience as Paramedic in the field or hospital setting preferred.
• Current State of Florida Paramedic License upon hire
• BLS Certification required upon hire
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
