General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate skilled administrative support work for municipal court operations, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Advanced Court Administrator.

Essential Functions
Answers telephone, provides information, assists the public; responds to inquiries from the public/court officials concerning court matters; receives complaints and routes to appropriate staff for resolution
Assembles case files for court, which includes ticket driving records, sends in disposition on finger print cards to highway patrol, reviews legal documents for accuracy and completeness, certifies all court records.
Receives payments for court fines, costs and other monies due; prepares and issue receipts for funds received; prepares daily tabulations/reports of cash receipts; maintains and balances court ledger.
Processes certified court records requests by mail and in person.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of court docket, traffic citation and collection procedures; general knowledge of bookkeeping terminology, methods, procedures and equipment; general knowledge of standard office procedures, practices and equipment; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility; ability to establish and follow detailed work procedures; ability to post accounts and to perform mathematical computations with speed and accuracy; skill in the use of a variety of office machines and some typing ability; ability to get along well with citizens. Knowledge of IMDSPlus and Show Me Courts preferred.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required and considerable experience providing administrative support in a legal setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience with heavy emphasis on customer contact. Municipal Court experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting and speaking or hearing, frequently requires using hands to finger, handle or feel and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and reaching with hands and arms; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
