A fast-paced private pediatric practice located in Orland Park and Evergreen Park is seeking a medical assistant who has strong clinical skills. Willing to train the right candidate IF graduated from an accredited MA school.

The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality, exceptional communication skills, and strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

The candidate must be able to multi-task as you interact with office staff, doctors, management, and most importantly, with patients.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet patients
• Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to a patient visit
• Take medical history and document vitals
• Assist physician(s) with exams, treatments, and procedures
• File, update, and organize patient charts or digital medical records
• Collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Explain treatment procedure(s) to patient
• Administer Injections
• Process Prescriptions
• Maintains medical supplies inventory
• Answer phones
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• All other duties assigned

Qualifications:

• Completed a Medical Assistant or CNA program
• Between 1 or 2 years of experience – preferred
• A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and appropriate clinical pharmacology.
• Familiarity with an electronic medical record system
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills
• Team oriented
