Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Part-Time Software Developer in San Luis Obispo, CA.

As a Part Time Software Programmer, you will provide assistance to design, program and execute simple test plans. You implement, document and maintain basic computing applications. Write and compile basic code and construct basic database objects based on documented design. Modify or upgrade applications to maintain software functionality. Assist in gathering information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

• Create, update, maintain, and run automated testing libraries for UIs, APIs, & DBs
• Create, update, maintain, and run unit testing libraries
• Create, update, and maintain software features
• Report, resolve, and confirm defects
• Perform design and code reviews

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location option. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Software programming experience.

• Enrolled in or completed STEM Higher Education
• Create, update, maintain, and run automated testing libraries for UIs, APIs, & DBs
• Knowledge of and experience with object-oriented programming.
• Java experience preferred.
• Web application development experience preferred.
• Web-centric technologies and languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, React/Redux/Sagas, HTML) experience preferred.

Typical Education & Experience:

Related work experience, relevant military experience, or advanced degree preferred, but not required.
