KEY OBJECTIVE(S)

The main purpose of the Party Host is:

• To create an innovative and fun family entertainment experience utilizing specialized skills and abilities. Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times. Ensure a positive guest experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist leadership with booking, contacting vendors, ordering, scheduling, add ons, etc
• Direct contact for party family
• Enthusiastically and professionally greet party guests and invitees
• Maintain order to avoid customer congestion in the party waiting area
• Ensure party is run in the sequence of the guest’s preference
• Prepare party guests for attractions they will be doing during the party
• Explain all the needed rules and policies for the party
• Responsible for setting up, cleaning up, and maintaining party tables
• Ensure parties begin and end with timeliness
• Help serve food, beverages, and cake to party guests
• Ensure there is adequate space/seating for all party guests
• Ensure each party receives everything included in the package or any special requests
• Provide an exceptional birthday experience to birthday guest of honor and all parents and guests
• Keep workstation area clean and organized
• Monitor, clean and organize party area
• Restock party supplies and party add-ons as needed
• Ensure that all trash and debris are cleared from party area
• Ensure that all chairs, tables and tablecloths are evenly aligned and tidy
• Ensure all party gifts and belongings have left with the party guest of honor, otherwise, contact party parents when time allows
• Accept delivery of food and cupcakes; serve food; monitor party
• Entertain American Dream guests in a professional manner
• Ensure the safety of party guests
• Perform to highest standards and act appropriately for family audiences
• Take direction from Team Leads and Supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness of work environments
• Regular, reliable and consistent attendance
• Follow all company and department policies and procedures
• Additional duties as assigned

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Represent American Dream, Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park & Angry Birds with highest degree of professionalism
• Good listening skills when dealing with guests, coworkers and supervisors
• Ability to work as part of a team and in collaboration with other departments
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
• An outgoing and energetic person that will entertain in a family party environment
• Prior experience as in a service position preferred, but not required
• All performers MUST be local to the NY/NJ area and must have their own reliable transportation. Please note that party hosts may also be asked to train and perform as character performers

• Stand/move about –Frequently, 90%
• Kneel/crouch– Periodically, up to 40%
• Reach at or above shoulder level – Frequently, 50%
• Reach at or below shoulder level – Frequently, 50%
• Handle/lift large items such as boxes or packages – up to 40lbs
• Bend/stoop/squat – Frequently, 50%
