Job description
SALARY RANGE: $30.00-$32.00 per hour. This role reports to the Executive Pastry Chef and is responsible for the supervision of the morning baking team with primary focus on preparation and production for the Market & Bakery; as well as production of morning pastries and baked goods for banquets and all F&B outlets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Assists the Executive Pastry Chef in supervising the pastry kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of preparation and production.
- Demonstrates positive leadership skills to facilitate a hardworking, efficient, and fun work environment.
- Supervises morning baking team and oversees preparation and production of all baked goods for the Market, as well as production of morning pastries and baked goods for banquets and all F&B outlets.
- Assists in fostering a positive, fair, and inclusive work environment for all associates.
- Participates in production and quality of baked goods such as breakfast pastries, breads, cakes, cold desserts and other various pastries to meet hotels’ standards.
- Must be able to follow the recipes and measure the ingredients correctly.
- Operates all commercial kitchen equipment and bake shop equipment correctly and in a safe manner.
- Fills out food requisitions to order baking supplies from Purchasing.
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at workstation and other work areas.
- Assist in training new employees, as needed.
- Assists the Executive Pastry Chef in developing new and seasonal pastries and baked goods.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
