Your role and responsibilities
We currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join our small friendly team. Our Patient Care Assistants undertake a variety of duties as directed by the Veterinary Surgeons and/or Registered Veterinary Nurses.
Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the reception and client care, including answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, booking procedures, taking payments and administrative tasks.
  • Infection control
  • Preparing and maintaining patient accommodation
  • Assisting with patient handling and restraint
  • Monitoring, recording, and providing supportive care to patients under the direction of the Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Assisting with diagnostic techniques to include preparation of equipment, processing and/or packaging for external laboratories
  • Maintenance of theatre to include preparation of the environment and equipment and cleaning, packaging, and sterilisation of sterile supplies
  • Assist with the management of the pharmacy, including unpacking of orders, stock rotation and environmental temperatures
  • Previous experience is advantageous, but training and support for the role will be provided, including an in-house training programme and mentorship.

Hours:

  • Mon-Fri- 8hours
  • (Shifts 8am - 4.30pm/8.30am-5pm/11.30am-7pm)
  • Saturdays (8:30am - 4.30pm)
