Job Description:
The Patient Care Associate in PASU is responsible for phlebotomy, EKG, and all other diagnostic testing. The PCA escorts patients to exam rooms, gives patients directions for the process of the PASU. The PCA assists patients who have physical limitations with mobility to the bathroom and helps prepare the patients for their visit. PCTAs cover for each other for breaks and communicates with all members of the health care team.
Candidate must be a High School Graduate or Equivalent. Health care experience required. Certification in phlebotomy required. American Heart Association Heartsaver is required.
