Seekinga Patient Transporter who willprovide every patient with the highest quality of professional care and ensurethe safety of the patient while in transport. Uses good body mechanics neededto care for patients. Demonstrates knowledge needed for proper use ofwheelchairs, stretchers and other transporting equipment.

What you will do in this role:
1.Transporter must introduce His/Herself to the patient; identify the patient bychecking armband to assure transportation of the correct patient.

2. Providetransportation of patients throughout the hospital, including discharge.

3. Signsthe patient in and out on the unit or uses Teletracking Transport module.

4.Maintains a cooperative and ethical relationship with patients.

5.Understands and follows infection control/universal precautions in theperformance of all tasks.

6.Understands and follows fall prevention and hand-off communication in theperformance of all tasks.

Minimum Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in the Hospital role desirable.

Minimum License and Certificates Required:
Must hold a current CPR certification or must obtain during orientation period.
