Essential Duties

This position works closely with our engineering, cutting and sewing departments. The Pattern Maker is responsible for designing and creating templates for casino chairs. Candidate will translate blueprints into factory patterns using drafting software as well as freehand measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product designers to discuss base designs as well as review final product
• Measure, cut and design patterns on required material
• Work with sewing, cutting and upholstery depts to make necessary adjustments to existing patterns for difficult materials.
• Mark samples and finished patterns with information, such as stretch direction, alignment notches, pattern part number, and chair style.
• Create cardboard patterns from which the production cut files may be digitized.
• Determine the best layout of pattern pieces to minimize waste of material and mark fabric accordingly.
• Test patterns by making and fitting sample to chair components
• Create design specifications to provide training instructions for sewing and upholstery

Requirements

• 1 year experience as a Pattern Maker
• Must be able to read, write & speak English
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design models
• Experience with measuring, snipping, milling, and cutting tools.
• Detail-oriented
• Work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
• Highly skilled at both single and double needle sewing.

Desirable, but not required:

• Proficient with computer drafting software including CAD
• Bilingual a plus,

Hours are 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday

***$250 BONUS AFTER 3 MONTHS***
