Primary Duties: Responsible for payroll preparation and processing within the payroll accounting transaction cycle. The Payroll Accountant is also responsible for garnishments, aca tracking and check writing. This position must ensure that all agency policies and procedures are followed.

In this role you will:

Payroll preparation and processing, including document maintenance and monthly account reconciliation.

Reviews bi-weekly payroll report verifying payroll accuracy, including payroll deductions.

Processes garnishments, aca tracking and payroll checks.

Assist with completion of month end closing.

Assist with review of federal and state tax returns and W2s for accuracy and completeness.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or an Associates Degree with 3 years of payroll work experience exceeding 1,000 employees.
