Payroll Coordinator

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and distributing employee paychecks accurately and efficiently, maintaining accurate records of all payroll transactions, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll Coordinator will also be responsible for responding to employee inquiries related to payroll and collaborating with other departments to resolve any payroll-related issues. This position reports directly to the Payroll Manager.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Collect and verify employee time records.
- Calculate employee wages, overtime pay, bonuses, and other compensation.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll data and documentation.
- Process and distribute paychecks and other payroll-related documents in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide accurate and understandable responses.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with departments such as finance, accounting, and operations to resolve any payroll-related issues.
- Keep up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven success as a Payroll Coordinator or similar role
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Experience with Paylocity is a plus
