Atrium Health Levine Children’s is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospital Medicine physician to join their team of 75 + providers, serving 5 Pediatric Hospitalist locations in the greater Charlotte area. This is a fabulous opportunity to join our dynamic team and work at the regions premier children’s hospital as well as our regional children’s hospital. This combination provides a good mix of bread-and-butter inpatient pediatrics with complex and high acuity quartenary care pediatrics.

Position details:

• Schedule of 5 shifts at Jeff Gordon Children’s Center/month, and 10-12 shifts at Levine Children’s Hospital/month.
• Shifts are usually bundled to 5 days in a row. Daytime JGCC shifts are 7a-6p, daytime LCH shifts are 7a-5p. Admitting shifts are usually 2 days in a row, which are 7am until 7pm, or evening shift 2pm until 10pm.
• This will be an inpatient role, with an average of 12 to 20 patients per team with APP and resident support.
• Joining a team of 1 physician and 1 APP daily, with Family Practice Residents and PA student at Jeff Gordon Children’s Center. Additionally joining a team of 1 physician and 1-2 APPs, with possibly 1 APP fellow per team at Levine Children’s Hospital.
• Weekend coverage 1 per every 2.6 weekends, no nights or home call
• Telemedicine privileges available

Qualification requirements:

• Board Certified in General Pediatrics and Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is required
• Experience with lumbar puncture procedures
• Experience in inpatient pediatric medicine is preferred

Jeff Gordon Children's Center (JGCC) at Atrium Health Cabarrus has been designed specifically with children in mind. Levine Children’s Hospital serves as the clinical training site for the CMC Pediatric Residency Program as well as medical students from the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Opportunities for faculty appointment and advancement are available through the Wake Forest School of Medicine commensurate with experience. Support for clinical research and quality improvement is available to interested candidates. The highly anticipated opening of the Wake Forest School of Medicine – Charlotte Campus in 2024 will provide additional opportunities for education, quality improvement and clinical research.
