People Operations Manager

Energage is a remote workplace with employees in various US locations. The people operations team supports the workplace from our Exton PA office. We coordinate logistics for employee onboarding and offboarding, workplace collaboration, and social events that require a consistent presence in the office. This is a hybrid role, working remotely with the ability to come into the offie on a regular cadence (at least once a week) and to support events or provide back up for other team members as needed.

Mission:

Your Mission as People Operations Manager is to align Energage's business strategy with the people strategy. You will support our talent goals and business in aspects of HR focused on, recruiting, organizational development, culture, and employee experience.

You manage the people experience and employee life-cycle, including finding the right talent, talent development, succession planning, performance management, and offboarding. As a People Operations Manager you develop, implement, and manage cultural initiatives to meet our talent goals.


Accountability & Impact:

  • Champion collaborative cross-functional initiatives with recruiting, marketing, finance, IT, managers, and senior leaders to ensure the successful onboarding and offboarding of employees in a hybrid/ mostly remote workplace
  • Own our recruiting efforts, including:
    • Leverage technology and best practices for continuous improvement of our interview and hiring processes
    • Manage recruitment partners and solutions
    • Coach and train managers on hiring practices and internal processes
    • Measure Recruiting Key Performance Indicators and iterate to improve
  • Serve as a crucial point of contact between executive leadership, managers, and employees
  • Leverage connections and best practices from the HR community on a variety of topics such as Diversity Equity and Inclusion, culture, and workplace trends
  • Ensure the employee experience at Energage is consistent and aligned with our company values, serving as a point of escalation as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chief People Officer to facilitate and lead employee relations activities across the organization.
  • Plan and direct employee engagement events, which promote a high-performing, inclusive, and mission-driven culture
  • Advise and coach managers on performance management and professional development of employees, while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Special projects could include developing manager resources, employee development tools, B Corp recertification project work (every 3 years). DEI training, employee recognition etc.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Prior experience in a People Operations/HR or generalist role
  • Knowledge of HR competencies and best practices, HR certification preferred
  • Resourcefulness to adapt in a changing landscape
  • Strong recruiting experience acting as a company ambassador
  • The ability to build, manage and enhance professional cross-functional relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Team player who can jump in and support the team on a variety of topics and tasks
  • Enthusiasm for and broad experience with HR technology, including applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse
  • Willing to make People Operations as open and transparent as possible
  • Proven organizational skills with great attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
  • You share our values and work in accordance with those values
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is essential
  • High sense of urgency and accuracy
  • Experience at a growth-stage tech company
  • Salary is between $70,000 and $80,000 depending on experience
