Ascension St. Mary's Hospital - Per Diem Anesthesiologists
Part of Ascension Health, one of the leading non-profit and Catholic health systems in the U.S., Ascension St. Mary's Hospital is a 268-bed full-service teaching hospital with 24/7 emergency care, a Level II Trauma Center, and a TJC-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Affiliated with both the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Central Michigan University, St. Mary’s delivers advanced surgical care for serious and life-threatening injuries and illnesses. A destination for specialty care, the hospital also provides a wide range of minimally invasive surgical procedures using robotic-assisted technology, imaging and lab tests, respiratory therapy, and dedicated rehabilitation centers, all on a single campus. Recently, Ascension launched a new justice-focused framework called ABIDE, which is built upon the hallmarks of Appreciation – Belongingness – Inclusivity – Diversity – Equity.
Found in the middle portion of Michigan’s lower peninsula, Saginaw is strategically located – a short drive from major metropolitan attractions, Canada, and pristine nature attractions. Responsibilities of the Anesthesiologist
- Level 2 Trauma Center
- 268 beds
- Case Mix – General, Neuro, Cardiac, Ortho, GI, Endo
- 6 ORs + 5 out-of-OR locations (GI, Cath, IR)
- Schedule consists of 10s, 11s, 12s
- Annual Cases – 9,400
- 4 anesthesiologists sharing hospital call rotation – it is anticipated that each anesthesiologist would take one full weekend of call each month, plus 4-5 additional weeknight calls, roughly 1 per week
- Call in house
- Post call off
