$30-$37/hr

Must be able to physically work in the Holtsville, NY office every day, there is no hybrid work option for this position.

Overview

  • The newly formed Enterprise Intelligence software (EIS) Business Unit is looking for a Software Test Engineer capable of executing manual tests and running automation execution with associated data analysis.
  • This opportunity is a chance to join a high performance software team that will transform our company's software components into an advanced data driven solution.
  • The Performance Test Engineer will design and execute the load & performance test activities on multiple, simultaneous, complex projects.
  • Work with product management and development teams to design and develop scalable products.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation and execution of Load & Stress test scripts
  • Identify performance issues and debug scripts
  • Designs, develops, and maintains load testing framework
  • Work with team members from QA, SysOps, Developers and Support
  • Develop performance related test scenarios and create & maintain test data
  • Responsible for creating baseline for performance
  • Create reports for performance and scalability of our solutions
  • Establishing and sharing performance best practices, designing and executing a robust performance test strategy
  • Work with team for thorough understanding of design and architecture
  • Automate the execution of load and performance testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical degree.
  • Level I: 0-3 years experience
  • Level II: 4-7 years experience
  • Level III: 7-10 years experience
  • Level IV: 10+ years experience
  • Experience doing Load & Performance testing using open source tools.
  • Experience with common programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Jquery, Groovy, Python or Ruby.
  • Experience working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
  • Experience working with Unix based operating systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • software test engineer: 1 year (Preferred)
  • load & performance testing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Databases: 1 year (Preferred)
