In this newly created role, we are seeking enthusiastic team players to work with our blue-chip clients. We advise and handle disputes for major insurers, Lloyds syndicates, large corporates, utilities, and local authorities. This role will have a particular focus on property damage losses, including those caused by major fires, floods, building collapse, escape of water and subsidence.

Our legal team is lead from our Bristol offices, with colleagues in Cardiff and London also.
A rare and exciting opportunity is available for a Personal Assistant to the Executive Legal Partners for Sedgwick Legal, offering outstanding support to our leadership team. The successful candidate will initially provide support to establish and implement the new legal services division within the business.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, dynamic and have experience of working cross functionally for a large company. This role will provide first-class, personal assistant support to the Executive team to ensure the most effective use of their time and support with administrative tasks.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
  • Assist with the initial set up and implementation of the new legal services team, and as it grows in the future
  • IT and new hire onboarding liaison
  • Assist with team/business events organisation and coordination
  • Effective diary management – Proactively manage diary planning, maximise efficiency and reduce duplication of meetings
  • Co-ordinate travel and accommodation bookings
  • Arrange meetings, meeting rooms/venues, and resources
  • Manage and ensure compliance with performance appraisals process
  • Processing expenses
  • Processing invoices
  • Holiday tracking/approvals for the team
  • Assist with chargeable activity on legal matters, bundling, court preparation, initial witness statement drafting, schedule preparation
  • Attend virtual and physical senior leadership meetings to take minutes and manage follow up/ actions efficiently
  • Provide support with the use of internal systems including Concur, Condeco, theCurrent, Workday
  • Collation of monthly board reports
  • Providing an appropriate level of challenge, scrutiny and quality assurance on all elements of the reporting process.

Other General Duties/Recruitment:
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Business Partner.
  • Liaise with other PA’s/Admin support across the business as required to ensure efficient cross functional working.
  • Other activities as identified by the Executive Partners to support business priorities.

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to lead the Executive teams and organise their time effectively.
  • Resilient communication & listening skills - highly effective at building trusted relationships whilst ensuring objectives and deadlines are achieved
  • Able to effectively prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Apply organisation skills to increase effectiveness, quality and impact on the business.
  • Accurate reporting.
  • Ability to use initiative and challenge the norm to always ensure continuous improvement in ways of working.
  • Discretion when dealing with private and confidential information.
  • Proactive approach to individually identifying requirements across the Executive team.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met, with the ability to prioritise workload without close supervision.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills is essential.
