We are looking for an exceptionally knowledgeable Pharmacist with regards to NUTRACEUTICALS, NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS AND WELLNESS PRODUCTS to educate patients on what they should take with their traditional medications and/or compound medications.

Job Duties Include:

• Administer the process of dispensing medication to patients according to their physician’s order, with highest attention to accuracy.
• Provide pharmacy services to medical practitioners.
• Counsel patients and medical practitioners regarding the nature and use of drugs.
• Oversee the preparation of all necessary records on prescriptions, patient charges and inventory.
• Provide guidance, training and supervision to pharmacy interns and technicians during course of work and monitors performance.
• Responsible for managing all of the clinical programs administered by VMC.
• Responsible for achieving individual pharmacy operating goals related to business objectives.
• Follow established policies and procedures, to achieve quality improvement objectives.
• Meet safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Document and report medication errors and quality related events.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations for a single retail and compound pharmacy.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• High level of business acumen as it relates to the operation of a retail pharmacy.
• The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of the use, clinical effects, and composition of drugs, including their chemical, biological, and physical properties.
• Ability to supervise support staff and ensure an efficient work flow.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Commitment to company values and the ability to be a strong team player.
• Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.
• Must possess a professional appearance and possess excellent communication skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
Minimum 2 years work pharmacy management experience in high volume setting (NOT internship or training).

Pharmacy license

Pay: $55.00 - $57.00 per hour

• Bachelor's (Required)

• nutraceuticals and nutritional supplements: 2 years (Preferred)
• wellness products: 1 year (Preferred)
• pharmacist: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Licensed Pharmacist (Required)
