The primary purpose of the Philanthropy Specialist position is to provide quality and professional Prospect Development support to the fundraising efforts of the Division by collecting, managing and disseminating information to inform solicitation and engagement strategies for prospective donors.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Prospect Management Support - 40%
Work closely with Prospect Management business unit to support Prospect Management activities, including assistance with portfolio reviews, ongoing portfolio management, pipeline assignment, and training/education. Leverage business intelligence tools to assist with prospect management functions.
Prospect Research Support - 30%
Working in a deadline driven environment, provide basic prospect research in support of fundraising activities. Create concise, accurate and timely research products using biographical information, financial data, news and philanthropic history. Provide analysis of information gathered on prospects and donors and work with senior prospect research staff members in their focused research efforts.
Prospect Data Integrity and Data Entry Support - 30%
Assist with prospect data entry in the CRM. Ensure data integrity by conducting bi-weekly/monthly cross-checks, reviewing and verifying ongoing reports.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: One year of clerical, office, administrative, organizational, or related support experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis.
Preferred: One year of direct experience in prospect development - prospect management and/or prospect research.
