Astera Health is currently looking for a permanent,
Full
-Time Phlebotomist to join our team. Our Lab team is a diverse group of individuals that promotes accountability, flexibility and the utmost care for our patients. Astera Health believes in fostering a positive workplace culture and finding joy in the work we do every day.
This opening is 80 hours per pay period, day and afternoon shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Phlebotomists perform a variety of clinic lab procedures including, but not limited to:
- Order entry
- Specimen collection and processing
- Therapeutic phlebotomies and waived testing
- Documentation of lab tests
- Patient teaching
Competencies Required include:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrates high degree of commitment to customer service excellence
- Strong computer skills, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
- Annual technical competencies as required by CAP and Joint Commission
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Phlebotomy certificate preferred
- Or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above.
Immunization requirements include: MMR, Hepatitis B (based on the position), Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, COVID-19
