Outpatient Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapist (Full Time or Part Time Openings)

This is a unique outpatient job opportunity, offering flexible schedule of between 5 to 10-hour shifts based on desired schedule. Minimum of 20 hours a week maximum of 40 hours.

The cardiopulmonary rehab center is currently staffed with 1 nurse, 1 PT, 2 PTAs, 2 RTs, and 2 rehab aides/techs. The PT duties include evaluation, progress note assessment, re-certification, discharge planning, MD communication, telemetry oversight and communication with RN, and daily treatments completing individualized POC for 75-90 minute sessions. PT in charge of clinic schedule, communicating with front desk, and daily flow by assigning patients to subsequent staff based on patient presentation.

Daily Treatment Assessments: vitals assessment, subjective history assessment, target heart rate assessment, progression of aerobic/anaerobic treatment, progression of strength treatment, transfer training, dynamic balance training, telemetry analysis, respiratory breathing techniques, oxygen titration, progression/regression of individualized POC.

Patients are referred for cardiac or pulmonary rehab. Cardiac patient diagnoses include: post CABG, stent, AVR, TAVR, MVR, ICD. Respiratory patient diagnoses include: COPD, ILD, restrictive disease, COVID, PNA, general deconditioning. All patients receive 36 visits for progression of aerobic tasks and monitoring of vitals and overall conditioning. POC is created by PT and progressed with the assistance of the PTA, nurse, RT & patient feedback. Many patients present with comorbidities that are addressed in their POC including stroke recovery, Parkinson's treatment, fall risk assessment, and orthopedic ailments.

*Looking for 1 full or part time PT to add to our team*

Will work with our PT clinical director, but is not expected to take on clinical director responsibilities.

• Salary range 90k-100k based on experience (prorated for part-time hire)
• Hours Weekdays 7:00AM - 5:30 PM (40 hour schedule created with clinical director)

• Team treats 30-40 patients a day, treatments lasting 75-90 minutes
• Individually assess roughly 6-8 patients through 1:1 to 1:2 treatment using rehab aide for assistance as needed
• Responsible for patient check in/check out
• Responsible for vitals assessment (BP, RHR, SpO2, Blood Glucose, Telemetry)
• Responsible for telemetry connection & quick analysis of tele/EKG printouts for RN
• Responsible for assisting patients through exercise based POC
• Responsible for direct oversight of PTA, RN, RT, rehab aides regarding techniques for guiding/assisting patients, education, and recommended progression within daily treatment
• Responsible for performing progress testing and education on cardiac/respiratory data reports
• Responsible for 5-7 daily notes assessing patient condition and response to treatment
• Responsible for 1-2 evaluations per day
• Responsible for 2-4 progress assessment reports per day
• Responsible for 5-7 re-certification reports per week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
