Job description

We are looking for a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatment for patients with orthopedic injuries. Duties of this role includes but are not limited to providing treatment and direct supervision of patients in the therapy area, educating patients on a home exercise program and proper body mechanics, and completing required documentation according to clinic timelines. The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience. The candidate must have a valid Michigan Physical Therapy Assistant license.

Preferred Rehabilitation has been providing physical therapy services for over 28 years. We are accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). We are an outpatient physical therapy facility accredited by Medicare and BCBS. We have a 99.9% employee and patient satisfaction rating. We have minimal to no turnover of employees.

Responsibilities:

• Providing treatment and direct supervision of patients in the therapy area.
• Educating patient on a home exercise program and proper body mechanics.
• Compete required documentation according to clinic timelines.
• Maintains cleanliness and functionality of the equipment.

Requirements:

• Valid Michigan Physical Therapy Assistant License
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in treating patients with orthopedic injuries.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrate expertise in his/her functional area, leveraging unique core of knowledge and skills to achieve results.
• Demonstrate organization and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with others.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record and Microsoft office products with the ability and willingness to learn other software products.
• Must maintain sensitivity to confidential matters and follow HIPAA compliance laws.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
