Job Summary:
We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work with our team of healthcare professionals in San Angelo, TX. The PTA will be responsible for helping patients recover from injuries and illnesses by providing physical therapy services. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is committed to providing exceptional care to our patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting the Physical therapist in patient evaluation and treatment planning.
- Implementing and monitoring therapeutic interventions under the direction of the Physical therapist.
- Modifying treatment plans as needed based on patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Educating patients and their families about the importance of physical therapy and home exercise programs.
- Documenting patient progress accurately and timely in an electronic medical record system.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Active Texas PTA license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations and documentation standards.
