• 2+ years experience of Physician/professional Medical Billing, Collections, Payment Processing, and Denial Management Experience in a healthcare setting
• 2 years Experience in Revenue cycle
• Experience billing Blue Cross Blue Shield & Medicaid
• Experience billing Medicare, Commercial Payers, Workmen's Comp, VA, and/or TriCare
• COVID Vaccinated

Plusses

• 2 years of Epic Experience
• Certification in Billing and/or coding

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is looking for a Physician Billing Specialist for one of the largest healthcare systems in Louisiana. This specialist will be responsible for billing activities for Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield. This person will also maintain responsibility of the timely submission of all hospital claims assigned and will work daily electronic billing files and submit insurance claims to third-party payers; reviews daily edit reports from the hospital billing system and makes necessary corrections to allow electronic submission. This role will require completing 100 edits/errors cleared a day and 45-50 Follow up Denials completed a day. This role will also monitor claim rejections for trends, issues & report findings to supervisor as well as observe best practice processes in billing, follow-up, and customer service activities .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
