Plant Operations Director
Job description
Position Purpose:
The Director coordinates and maintains management programs which ensure the safe and reliable operation of the physical plant and technology of the facility and provides services which support the resident care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Serves as Safety Officer and assists in development, implementation, and monitoring of facility wide safety management program.
2. Supervises and directs the operation of Maintenance Department.
3. Supervises and directs the operation of Environmental Services Department.
4. Establish, manage and monitor safety standards, processes, communications, training and systems for employees.
Qualifications:
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities to include working knowledge
of hospital accreditation and licensure standards and
processes; demonstrated management and supervisory
skills; working knowledge of physical plant operations
and systems, preventive maintenance and safety policies
and practices; working knowledge of effective housekeeping
practices; and a general knowledge of material
management and contracting services.
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Management or similar discipline or relevant experience in plant operations, safety, environmental services, building maintenance or HVAC equipment.
Licensure/Certification: None Required
Experience: At least five (5) years closely related experience
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
60 % of the time, the incumbent is standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching while performing duties of the position.
Requires full range of body motion. Ability to perform RPA, CPR and First Aid.
