Responsibilities include:

*Greet and acknowledge guests they come in contact with *Maintain the cleanliness of the public space of the hotel & equipment at all times. *Thank guests as they depart. *Receive supplies, date and rotate stock; complete and record inventory; follow hotel operational procedures to ensure an order is placed for items that are below par levels. *Respond to guest’s needs, special requests and complaints in a courteous, efficient and timely manner. *Cleans lobby area, which involves vacuuming and mopping the floor, cleaning and dusting the mirrors and artwork, and cleaning the windows, doors and light fixtures. *Empties and cleans cigarette urns and changes sand as necessary. *Vacuums floor hallways, picking up large pieces of debris as necessary. *Cleans walls, mirrors, and tables in hallways. *Spot cleans hallway carpets, including the stairways. *Cleans elevators and tracks. *Cleans ice and soda machines. *Cleans stairwells, and everything in them – windows, air conditioners, railings, phones, windows, and artwork. *Cleans and empties trash cans at the Front Desk and Administrative Offices. *Empties trash from Room Attendant’s carts. *Cleans and empties all public garbage cans. *Picks up garbage in parking lots and all areas surrounding the property. *Cleans pool area and fitness room, including patio furniture and exercise equipment. *Use the stairs to leave the elevator free for guest use the majority of the time. *Maintains good physical health to meet the physical requirements of the job. *Immediately returns all lost and found items to the Head Housekeeper. *Logs all necessary repairs in Quore. *Assist with cleaning and maintaining the hotel, as needed and requested by management.

- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Maybe required to perform tasks, which involve exposure to visible blood contamination or reasonably anticipated blood contamination.
- must be knowledgeable about OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards, and must follow the required procedure for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood.
- Working in a hotel requires that you be available to work every day of the year, as the hotel never closes.
Physical Requirements:
- This position demands good physical and mental health.
- The porter will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, bend, reach, climb, push, pull, and fold.
- They must work a flexible schedule and be capable of performing tasks that require repetitive motions.
- The porter must be able to move continuously during work hours, stand for eight (8) hour periods, and must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds from the ground to above head level.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
Personal / Physical Requirements:
- You are often times a key representative of our hotel that guests come in to contact on a daily basis, and such an important source of public relations to our hotel.
- Confidentiality, cheerfulness, friendliness, honestly, politeness, and tactfulness are important traits that are expected at all times.
- Each guest must know they come first
- Negative, unprofessional comments about guests or other members of the team should never be expressed in public or to a guest
- Keep the 4 R’s in mind: you must be responsible, reliable, respectful, and responsive.
Other Duties:

*Consistently reports to work at the scheduled time in the proper uniform with nametag. *Light computer knowledge. *Report all hazards immediately to management for repair. *Represents the hotel in a positive manner at all times. *Communicates effectively with other departments. *Comply’ s at all times with Staybridge suites standards *Maintain a clear understanding of emergency procedures and where emergency information is located *Performs special projects to maintain maximum service at all times. *Arrange special services that are requested by guests. *Offer information, assistance and directions to guests. *Wash windows inside and out that are at safe height; this must be done at least twice monthly. *Performs special projects to maintain an adequate level of service at all times. *Light maintenance and custodial work are required as needed. *You are responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the hotel public space *Acknowledges all guests with a smile.
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Compensation depends on your experience.
