Description of Duties:

This position will set up and operate CNC Press Brakes to produce parts to print specifications. The Press Brake Operator will read and interpret prints to verify that parts produced meet print requirements and tolerances.

Duties and Knowledge:

• Set-up and operate press brake machine
• Understand and use press programs
• Understand and utilize all tooling associated with a press brake
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Perform 1st piece inspection and complete documentation
• Read and interpret prints
• Utilize measuring instruments and gages to perform measurements accurately
• Understand quality and appearance requirements for formed parts
• General knowledge of materials formed by the press brakes
• May set-up and operate stamp press machines. Will understand programs, tooling, and maintenance for that equipment
• Will operate equipment and tools with concern for safety
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience:

• Machining or Industrial Trade School preferred
• Prior manufacturing experience operating numerical controlled machines preferred

Skills:

• Must understand and be able to use measuring instruments
• Must be able to read and interpret prints
• All new operators shall complete an OJT with results documented.
• Forklift training and certification may be required

Occupational Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Requires repetitive motion
• Able to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
• Able to bend and work at all levels
• Able to work in a high temperature environment
• Able to work 10 hours in a physically demanding position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Polk City, IA 50226: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
