We are in seek of an experienced Press Setup Operator, that will be responsible for the setup and operation of a mechanical power press or hydraulic press to produce parts from steel coils according to work instructions and production standards.

Salary: $18-22 /hour, negotiable dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm; Fridays dependent on workload

Must be able to read blueprints and use measuring equipment.

The responsibilities of this position are the following:

• Must be able to obtain workload from IFS terminal and approve jobs
• To ensure proper quality, compares first piece produced to orange part pattern or measures length and width from dimensions on routing
• Requires setting up various dies including internal die changes, and other coil line equipment
• Removes die from press and returns it to proper storage area using big joe or forklift
• Verifies correct steel is placed on coil reel
• Manufacture parts according to work order requirements
• Must meet or exceed production standards set
• Checks parts for quality according to coil line inspection sheet
• Reports any nonconforming conditions to supervisor
• Follows 7-S policies, procedures, and meets goals
• Follows all safety rules and policies and immediately reports any unsafe conditions to the supervisor
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area
• Participates in all training as required
• Returns all tools and equipment to designated location
• Empties scrap bucket from assigned coil line as needed
• Must be able to operate and successfully complete Big Joe and forklift training
• Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime
• Performs other duties as assigned
