Job Summary:
Good Food Holdings is looking for a bright and highly motivated individual to join our organization as a Pricing Manager on the Merchandising Analytics team.
As a key team member within our Merchandising Analytics & Data Operations organization, you will be the owner of the global Pricing program responsible for the development and management of retail price strategy and recommendations leveraging our price optimization engine and our banner strategic playbooks as your guide. You will work in partnership with the Merchandising teams to identify pricing rules and inputs, review new price investment scenarios, evaluate financial forecasts, and ensure progress towards company, customer, category, and omnichannel performance goals.
A successful candidate demonstrates a strong blend of leadership experience, retail experience, advanced programming skills, advanced analytical prowess, and unmitigated curiosity to build data-driven teams and programs in support of our stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a “think big” and “create advocates” attitude with a successful track record of raising the bar and delivering above expectations. Strong communication, influential, and interpersonal skills are required as this role will interface across multiple banner teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Build a high-performing and scalable organization with the hiring of team members and development of new global analytical programs. This includes hiring, onboarding, mentoring, developing, and coaching of existing and new team members.
- Apply your data mining skills with SQL, R, and/or Python to test new rule hypotheses, A/B test price scenarios, analyze rule effectiveness, quantify pricing consumer behaviors, e.g. attribute willingness to pay, and optimize zone and channel pricing to strengthen our pricing strategy and execution by banner, market, channel, and customer segment.
- Lead in educating stakeholders in understanding applied pricing methodologies, store and category pricing strategic roles, customer and product segments, and its contributing function in the respective banner playbooks.
- Effectively manage price recommendations by banner and market, ensuring timely review and execution of price scenarios from analysis to shelf.
- Relationship manage our third-party pricing vendor to ensure adherence to contract terms and support for the implementation of the global program.
- Participate in the Category Management Review process as part of the Merchandising Analytics organization.
- Contribute towards company, category, and omnichannel growth in revenue, profitability, yield, customer engagement, retention, and value perception.
- Build scalable and actionable reporting leveraging visualization tools, e.g. Power BI, that synthesize and provide timely and effective learnings to our business partners.
- Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Merchandising Analytics and Data Operations leader.
Skills Required / Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role with direct supervision of team members.
- 5+ years of experience working in retail, with a strong preference for grocery retail or CPG.
- 5+ years of experience in Business or Merchandising Analytics, Business Intelligence, or comparable research role, including use of business intelligence tools, e.g., Power BI.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases, e.g. Redshift.
- Proven ability to present to diverse audiences with an emphasis in data storytelling and inciting action across the organization.
- Demonstrated success contributing to a positive work environment with a high level of professional maturity.
- Independently able to drive a business and thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
- Ability to travel 15% of time.
- Requires travel to regional retail support offices in Seattle, WA, Santa Cruz, CA, Carson, CA, and Portland, OR as needed.
Relocation may be available for well qualified candidates.
Hybrid work schedule could be negotiated for candidates we find to be a good fit.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $136,500.00 - $173,900.00 per year
