Career Opportunity: PRN Pharmacist with The Healthcare Connection in Cincinnati, OH

We are currently seeking a PRN Pharmacist to coordinates all aspects of patients' pharmaceutical needs and provides safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Accurately process, fill and dispense medication pursuant to a physician's order according to the laws and regulations as defined by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and institutional policies.
• Enter or review entry of medication orders into the pharmacy computer system and ensures accuracy of dispensing.
• Comply with OBRA 90, HIPAA requirements and accreditation standards applicable to specialty pharmacy.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and provide answers to drug information questions for patients, families, and other health care practitioners.
• Responsible for all necessary record keeping, maintaining of appropriate business records, supervising of all staff, maintaining all policies and procedures, inventory control, and accurate prescription filling.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
• Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance and security of controlled substances.
• Assure appropriate dose, route, frequency, and duration of therapy.
• Patient medication profile review for appropriateness; checks/verifies prescription orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current State of Ohio Registered Pharmacist license.
• Experience in a community health center setting preferred.
• Three years of community pharmacy experience preferred.
