Job Summary

HealthQuest has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic RN to work on PRN status. The primary function of the Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse is to provide exceptional in-home IV infusion therapy, nursing care, and response management. The candidate will have strong IV skills and be willing to travel throughout the Greater Houston area.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Home Infusion nurse you will:

• Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in both our ambulatory infusion center and patient homes.
• Care for patients by using your clinical IV experience and personal touch to assist our patients recover in the comfort of their own home.
• Administer and monitor patient's conditionin our infusion center or in the home and notify appropriate personnel of any changes.
• Provide the necessary education on treatment regimen, condition management and treatment of self-administration when appropriate.
• Assuring proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Complete trainings for new/specialty infusion therapies
• Provide patient clinical coordination in a variety of environments including patient's home, infusion suites, hospitals, and doctor offices.
• Train patients in the self-administration of treatments and how to quickly recognize and respond to symptoms of adverse physical reactions to treatments.
• Maintain open communication with your Regional Nurse Manager, Staffing Coordinator and other team members regarding scheduling, patient assignments and clinical matters.
• Coordinate with your Regional Nurse Manager to address changes in patient condition or drug management issues.
• Document all interactions and communication with patients, plan of treatment, assessment, treatments, patient responses/reactions to treatment, status of disease process, and training activities in a timely manner using company issued tools

Qualifications and Skills

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Texas
• 2-5 years experience with a preference for home health experience
• Minimum 1 year experience in infusion therapy or ER/ICU
• Excellent IV skills
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Reliable car/auto insurance
• Clean background and criminal record
• Current CPR card

Pay: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour

Weekly schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
