Avid Solutions is looking for an Process Control Technician with experience on the field who will be working at our client site helping them to make their processes more effective and efficient. We are looking for someone with a combination of technical automation skills, client relationship skills and strong field experience based in our client site in Aurora, NC (30 mins from Greenville, NC, New Bern, NC, Oriental, NC and Washington, NC). Generous relocation offered for this position.
On a typical day you will:
- Help execute project functions to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Perform troubleshooting in the field, when required
- Assist in supporting existing control systems, historians and reporting, with minimal supervision as needed
- Help develop and build client relationships to drive sales
- Assist in Evaluating and clarifying customer project opportunities. This includes walking down processes, making suggestions, and further clarifying scopes of work. These opportunities may be client initiated or identified by Avid
- Gather information to help develop customer project proposals
We are looking for someone with at least 2 or more years of technical experience, with the ability to assist with managing the execution of projects with support from the project manager. Someone who has strong field experience, enjoys autonomy, working independently with minimal supervision and likes to wear multiple hats.
To be successful in this role, you will be someone who has some understanding of the Rockwell platform, can read schematics, likes interacting with the client and assisting in project tasks, when required.
