We are seeking a Process Simulator to join our team in Auburn Hills, Michigan where we design, build and integrate body-in-white welding and joining production systems for the automotive and commercial truck sectors. Our flexible body shop automation systems and smart work cells help OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers bring their products to life while adapting to rapidly changing technology and consumer demands.

What you’ll get to do
Define, analyze, and maintain product information throughout the processing phase
Participate in the development of PLP’s, weld studies, and sequence of operations sheets
Develop system and zone layout drawings
Create product sequence sheets (flow charts)
Create and maintain time studies (machine and operator)
Communicate critical issues to team members
Ensure all process and product changes are tracked, logged, and submitted to the Process team
Clearly communicate the impact of a change to the process team
Assist the Process team in the preparation of all processing related material for customer meetings and presentations
What you bring
Ability to work well within a team-based work environment, prioritizing plans of action to accomplish objectives
A Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent from a recognized University is preferred or an Associate Degree/Engineering Diploma
Three to five years of experience in BIW (Body-in-White)
PFMEA (Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
MFMEA (Machine Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
Knowledge and experience in Throughput Calculations and Simulation
Experience in Risk Assessment
Knowledge about and experience in process development, tool design, and construction of welding and assembly equipment and technologies
