Product Engineer General

Job Summary:

Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for an Product Engineer General. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

Energy Management Engineer.

Basics:

• BS in Technical Field of Study.
• 10+ years Vehicle Engineering Experience.
• Lead the integration of vehicle attributes (Fuel Economy, Performance Feel, Thermal Systems Weight) on current and forward model program from pre-program start to post-certification.
• Ensure robust execution of Vehicle Energy Management Engineering (VEME) attribute deliverables for program milestones and engineering gateways to ensure program content is compatible with attribute target achievement.
• Manage interface between Program and Engineers, from the target setting process through development, verification and certification phases.
• Develop CAE vehicle fuel economy and performance feel models.
• Develop timing and test plans for design validation and conduct vehicle testing and validation of subsystem performance on various duty cycles.
• Support vehicle drive events including preparation of all communication documents.
• Champion attribute issue resolution plans.

Preferred:

• MS in Technical Field of Study.
