Job Purpose:
The product manager is a new role within a small, tight-knit team focussed on innovation, data and development. The team is focussed on creating a new technology platform for third parties to access IWG information. The product manager is critical to defining the requirements for the platform through user research, and working with the front-end developer and data strategist to create and implement the platform in the internal and external organisation.
As the product is entirely new, the product manager will have a profound impact on the future of the organisation. The role can be shaped by the right person to deliver a market leading, customer facing platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design and conduct research to support the design and development of the platform, using various research methods
- Identify opportunities to create business value, improve the customer experience and increase market share
- Define product requirements based on the user research to be implemented by the front-end developer
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
- Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful product launch
- Translate the requirements into a manageable implementation plan
- Manage the front-end developer to successfully create the product
- Drive and manage internal and external product pilots
- Support creation of marketing collateral to ensure successful product launch
Experience / Required Skills:
- Previous work experience as a product manager, with a successful launch of a new product
- Proven ability to launch user research projects and distil findings into clear set of requirements
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies
- Proven record of successfully managing a team
- Solid technical background with understanding of software/tech development or website development
- Strong skills in managing internal and external stakeholders
- Able to work cross-functionally throughout organisation
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Fluent knowledge of the English language
- Self-starter, bringing a valuable contribution to a small team
- Motivated to challenges the way things are currently done
