IAA, Inc. is looking for a talented Product Owner to join the team at our Corporate Headquarters in Westchester, IL. Someone empathetic, analytical, astute in business, innately curious, and passionate about innovating to make our customers’ lives better and to help our businesses run more efficiently.
The Product Owner is responsible for product strategy, identifying market trends, and understanding both customer and operational needs. They are customer advocates and domain experts who lead the organization in defining and delivering high-impact products. Internally, the Product Owners work closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations Management and Engineering. Externally, the Product Owner will interact with customers and industry partners.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to the following):
- Define product strategy and create viable roadmaps
- Act as a knowledge leader and product champion within the company
- Contribute to a customer-centric, quality-driven environment for developing products
- Determine product KPIs and measure results
- Prioritize the product features for release
- Work closely with the Product team and Business Analysts to turn vision into stories that the Scrum teams can deliver
- Be able to say “no” to stakeholders and have the data to support your decisions
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related discipline is required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner
- Working knowledge of Product Management tools and artifacts
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching successful products.
- Excellent teamwork skills: proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Ability to quantitatively assess and prioritize customer needs
- Ability to communicate, in written and verbal form, with diverse audiences, internal and external to the company, in a clear and comprehensible manner
- Ability to perform market research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence studies
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time for work purposes
