Job description
Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to organize, facilitate, and maintain the prep, bagging, and packaging process for the product through a 5-Step system.
Physical Requirements: Standing; walking; bending; reaching overhead and out in front; lifting up to 30 lbs; hand dexterity in handling both small and large objects.
- Setup Pre-Line attachments to the conveyor and prepare for incoming raw food products.
- Visually examine and determine food quality to be disposed of or salvaged.
- Chop, slice, peel, and core raw food products to then be processed.
- Clean entire Prep-Line conveyors and attachments before and after each new raw food product.
- Coordinate with Plant Supervisors on quality control.
- Communicate with other Prep-Line associates on the intake quantity and quality.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace to ensure efficient workflow.
- Acknowledge food safety standards and general cleanliness of handling products.
Bagger:
- Fill up bags with a processed product to precise poundage (depending on order from customer).
Bag Sealer:
- Activate the buttons allowing the machine to properly and securely seal the bag.
- Once bags are sealed allow Box Prepper to receive sealed bags.
- Place sealed bags onto the metal detector.
Box Prepper:
- Overview of the daily Production Report sheet to determine how much of each product/box type is necessary.
- Calculate the number of boxes necessary for the Packaging Box Sealer associate.
Box Sealer
- Position boxes to allow the machine to seal the box.
