Manufacturing company in the Columbia, SC area looking to hire a Production Supervisor.

This position will have 13-15 employees reporting to them.
Bachelor's Degree Required.
Will be a hands-on floor supervisor.
Would love someone looking to grow within the organization and be trained/mentored into a management role.
Welding or metal fabrication exprience a huge plus.

Compensation: This role is a salary non-exempt so they will punch a time clock and get paid overtime. Salary range is 70-80k but with overtime most supervisors are making into the six figures.

Responsibilities:
1. At the direction of the Managers, prepares daily operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications for crews.
2. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
3. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Formally reports to Maintenance on equipment issues in the form of emails and work requests for equipment repairs.
4. Trains and assists hourly employees as needed to ensure adequate quality and productivity.
5. Resolves employee issues and complaints or submits unresolved matters for further resolution.
6. At the discretion of the Manager, reviews work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
7. Determines amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from purchasing department.
8. Confers with crew operators to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from Manager.
9. Suggests changes to working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of crew.
10. Reads customer specification and drawings to determine type of coating, position of holdbacks and other specifications for setting up pipe for operations.
11. Oversee repairs or replacement of defective parts.
12. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
13. Performs other tasks as instructed by supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
