Position: Production Team Member
Reports to: Plant Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Efficient performance as a can unload or load machine operator, filler machine operator, can de-pallet operator, label machine operator brine mix operator or retort cool down and hoist operator.
- Efficient performance as a case packer, pick belt member, carton stacker and soak tank operator.
- Knowledge of GMP’s, FDA and quality control requirements for all production and packaging operations.
- Conscientious handling of inventory.
- Assist maintenance of inventory control procedures.
- Assist production inventory in a clean and organized state.
- Maintain safe operation of equipment.
- Report equipment for safety or maintenance needs.
- Help maintain a safe, clean working environment.
- Recommend operational changes and needs.
- Observe all company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Experience and education sufficient to perform duties, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and more waist high, intermittently over the course of a normal day.
- Ability to perform standing work during shifts.
- Intelligent involvement in the work performed.
- Basic math, with written and verbal communication skills.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical.
- Experience in, and knowledge of, food safety procedures is a plus.
