Job Summary
The Dog / Pet Groomer is responsible for bathing animals of various sizes and temperaments, trimming, clipping, or shaving hair/fur, and removing matted hair. The dog / pet Groomer should also be able to ensure that grooming tools and equipment are in good working condition.

Job Responsibilities

• Animal Groomer possesses basic grooming and handling knowledge
• Animal Groomer has excellent scissor skills
• Animal Groomer has the ability to perform breed specific pattern cuts
• Dog / Pet Groomer follows all client requests
• Dog / Pet Groomer recruits and retains clientele
• Dog / Pet Groomer demonstrates professional and effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail and ability to observe animal behaviors daily
• Able to clean pet accommodations / facility to maintain our high standards
• Operate basic computer software
• Flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays
• Prefer 3 years of grooming experience
• Preferred experience grooming both cats and dogs
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours

Pay Range - 50% commission of grooms

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply

• Pet grooming: 1 year (Preferred)
• Animal handling: 1 year (Preferred)
