About the Position
The Professional Development Coach Supervisor provides supervision to six Professional Development coaches and ensures the timely delivery of staff training and professional development designed to assist staff in acquiring or increasing the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality early education and comprehensive services. The Professional Development Coach Supervisor upholds the goals and underlying philosophy of the program by monitoring the coordinated coaching strategies and reporting outcomes to relevant staff.
The PD Supervisor utilizes training methodologies and demonstrates superior teamwork abilities and quickly assesses divisional needs to design specialized trainings to enhance service delivery.

We Require
  • Bachelor’s degree in early education, child development, or related field with 18 credits in early education
  • Three years of supervisory experience in an early education setting
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
  • A valid Arizona driver's license at the time of hire
  • Must complete background check and fingerprint identification upon hire to secure and maintain a Level 1 DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Successful candidates must also complete a medical exam that includes screening for TB Certification

Job contribution
  • Supervises assigned staff and personnel-related activities, including performance management and training that supports onsite leadership and the delivery of high-quality early education per divisional policies
  • Provides regular feedback to Professional Development Coaches regarding the support or follow-up needed to implement the curriculum and social-emotional support to fidelity
  • Monitors and supports the completion of CLASS and Fidelity Assessment tools
  • Performs operational monitoring, including data reviews and running reports
  • Responsible for oversight, planning, and executing professional development training for staff throughout the year
  • Monitors and supports CDA completion and renewals for all staff
  • Consistently collaborates with the content, leadership, and management team to identify trends to ensure continuous quality improvement
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in a typical office environment
  • May require travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
  • Requires travel to program sites, offices, and meetings, both within and outside of the county using personal vehicle. Occasional evening and weekend work
  • Must be able to move 40 pounds
