Compass Health is currently looking for a Program Manager for Island Team.


Program

The Outpatient Program provides a broad spectrum of counseling services to clients who have mental health issues. This service gives the assistance clients need to reduce or manage their mental health symptoms by improving their coping and daily living skills. Services include individual, family, and group therapy, as well as community support services.

There are many reasons why an adult may seek mental health treatment including those related to depression, anxiety, and mood disorders that impede their quality of life. More severe or debilitating symptoms associated with trauma, psychosis and schizophrenia are also common reasons for someone to seek mental health treatment.

Compass Health utilizes a number of evidence-based practices to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and illness management and recovery.


What you will be performing

The Program Manager directs the ongoing operation of behavioral health care services in assigned area, which includes but is not limited to providing clinical and administrative supervision to staff, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of administrative operations, facilitating and enhancing collaborative relations of all levels of care operating in the assigned program area. The Program Manager also participates in 24/7 on-call pager rotation and must be able to respond to urgent consultation after hours.

  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision to staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating.
  • Collaborates with the Director to ensure coordination of all crisis response services within assigned programs.
  • Provides necessary coverage, crisis intervention, and consultation to staff on an as needed basis.
  • Works on-call after hours and weekends as needed as part of the Manager on-call rotation schedule.
  • Schedules staff coverage and ensures availability during established program hours of operation.
  • Communicates staff coverage to other appropriate service delivery systems.
  • Ensures provision of services and clinical documentation is in accordance with requirements of the organization, and all regulatory bodies and payers.
  • Ensures performance and clinical standards are met by clinical staff.
  • Ensures implementation and improvement based on feedback related to client satisfaction and outcome data and other quality improvement indicators.
  • Conducts trainings on clinical functions of programs overseen in community settings on an as needed basis.
  • Develops an individual staff training plan for new hires and conducts an individual staff evaluation at least annually.

What you will bring with you

  • MA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field.
  • Current Washington State Licensure or equivalent in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling preferred.
  • Qualifies as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC.
  • Substance Use Disorder Professional credential or experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred.
  • Extensive direct clinical service experience in behavioral health setting.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
