The Program Manager of the Center for Faculty Well-Being will direct the administrative activities of the center, providing oversight and management to all Well-Being project and programs, developing reports detailing activities of the center, managing staff supporting Well-Being projects and programs, and serving as a liaison to other internal and external groups relevant to well-being work.
The Program Manager will critically evaluate the implementation of on-going and new well-being programs to ensure that work-flows are efficient and that programs are effectively matrixed to relevant work and leadership within the Institute.
The Program Manger all work to ensure that well-being programs support equity and inclusion of a diverse faculty, The Program Manager will report to and work directly with the Director of the Center. In conjunction with the Director, the Program Manager will help to ensure that the CFWB adds significant value to the institution and to the national discussion of faculty well-being and burnout prevention.
Responsibilities
Manges all Well-Being projects and programs.
Analyzes and optimizes work flow for well-being programs.
Engages and supports work of Well-Being Champions to coordinate well-being work across Divisions.
Develops and implements a data collection plan to evaluate impact of well-being activities.
Manages staff of 3 providing guidance, mentorship and direction.
Involved with strategic initiatives as member of steering committees, project teams or work groups.
Liaison to other DFCI departments such as Adult Ambulatory Operations, Finance, Information Services.
Develops an annual progress report for the DFCI President, Department Chair and Vice Chairs for Medical Oncology in conjunction with the Director of the Center.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required, Masters degree preferred.
5 years managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and programs.
Experience having direct reports.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills and is able to effectively communicate with people from all levels of the hospital. Superior prioritization skills in a demanding environment.
Excellent analytical skills for problem solving or and solution development.
Great organization skills and can handle multiple projects and recurring work while meeting deadlines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages 3 staff: 1 program manager, 2 editors; helps supervise additional shared project manager.
